Position Overview
The Online Teacher/Instructor will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging online
courses that address students’ needs. This role includes interacting with students via remote
sessions and discussion boards, assessing their progress, and providing constructive feedback to
improve learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Course Design and Delivery:
o Develop and implement online course content that aligns with the curriculum and
meets educational standards.
o Utilize various instructional strategies and technologies to create an engaging and
interactive learning environment.
Student Engagement:
o Facilitate remote sessions, including live lectures, discussions, and group
activities, to promote student participation and collaboration.
o Actively engage with students through discussion boards, responding to questions
and encouraging peer interaction.
Assessment and Feedback:
o Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, and exams, ensuring
alignment with learning objectives.
o Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, helping them understand
their strengths and areas for improvement.
Continuous Improvement: o Stay updated on best practices in online education and instructional technology,
incorporating new ideas and approaches into course delivery.
o Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and strategies for enhancing the
online learning experience.
Support and Mentorship:
o Offer academic support and guidance to students, addressing their questions and
concerns related to course material and assignments.
o Foster a positive and inclusive online learning environment that encourages
student growth and success.
Qualifications
Education:
o A Bachelor’s degree in Education, a relevant subject area, or a related field. A
Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience:
o Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an online or remote
learning environment.
o Familiarity with online learning platforms and educational technologies is
essential.
Skills:
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and
motivate students in a virtual setting.
o Proficient in using technology for teaching and learning, including learning
management systems (LMS), video conferencing tools, and interactive online
resources.
o Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage course materials and
student assessments effectively.
