Position Overview
The Technical Support Specialist will provide technical assistance to students and teachers,
ensuring that any technical issues are resolved quickly and effectively. This role involves
troubleshooting problems, providing guidance, and improving the overall user experience on the
learning platform.
Key Responsibilities
 Technical Assistance:
o Serve as the primary point of contact for technical support requests from students
and instructors, handling inquiries via email, chat, or phone.
o Provide clear and effective instructions to users on navigating the learning
platform and fixing common technical problems.
 Issue Resolution and Troubleshooting:
o Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to the learning management system
(LMS), software applications, and hardware.
o Work with IT teams to escalate and resolve more complex technical issues as
needed.
 User Training and Support:
o Organize training sessions and develop user documentation to help students and
teachers use the platform effectively.
o Develop FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and instructional materials to empower
users to resolve simple issues independently.
 Feedback and Improvement:

Gather user feedback on technical issues and identify areas for improvement in
the support process and platform functionality.
o Help develop best practices and standard procedures for technical support.
Qualifications
 Education:
o A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related
field.
 Experience:
o Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in technical support or a related role,
preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting.
o Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) and online educational tools.
 Skills:
o Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking, capable of diagnosing
and resolving technical issues efficiently.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to give clear instructions
and support to a diverse user group.
o Proficient in using technical support tools and software, with a basic
understanding of web technologies like HTML, CSS, etc., being a plus.
